Gloryhole Comedy Club 24th January 2025

Stephen Carlin

Stephen Carlin is a hilarious Scottish comedian who has received great critical acclaim, accolades and a growing fanbase with his original and insightful writing style and accomplished delivery. He is a very enigmatic act, using a unique pattern of delivery to amuse the audience with very unexpected and off the wall references.

Ben Treloar

Making a welcome return to the gloryhole, Ben's gone from strength to strength including walking off with the title of Cornish Comedian of the Year 2023 and shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards, Ben is definitely one to watch. With fantastic self-deprecating punchlines and quick crowd work, it's easy to see why he's getting booked across the country. It also helps that he's incredibly affordable.

Jo Frank

Jo trained as an actress before strutting her funky stuff in the world of comedy. She has been a finalist at Stand Up For Cider in both 2018 & 2019 and a Semi Finalist at Funny Women in 2017.

Samuel Love

Although quite new to Stand up Sam has already clocked up over 200 gigs. He lives in a town near Bournemouth that nobody has ever heard of... not even the people that live there.

MC - Lyle Barke

Lyle was selected to MC the prestigious Bound & Gagged AAA show at The Gilded Balloon for the 2023 Edinburgh Festival.
"Lyle is an amazing act and MC. With relatable and self deprecating wit, he leaves you not knowing what he's going to say next. Highly recommended."" - Full Frontal Comedy.

Everything You Wanted to Know About The Gloryhole, But Were Too Afraid To Ask!

Gloryhole Comedy

The GCHQ of Comedy, Going Places it Shouldn’t.

A 'gloryhole', or 'glory hole', is a receptacle, box, cupboard or room, into which ephemera are placed, or tidied way.
The phrase was once popular in Victorian times but has since fallen out of use in favour of crude re-interpretation.

We're reclaiming it to represent a room reserved for fun, and laughter.

"Those who find ugly meaning in beautiful things are corrupt."
- Oscar Wilde

"Those who seek problems will forever be gratified."
- Gary Gloryhole

Gloryhole Comedy Club is run in association with Malmesbury Live Arts, a non-profit Community Interest Company funded by the Arts Council England, awarding funds from The National Lottery.
